This blog is basically just a collection of my "random thoughts". I must warn you, though. I have been told that "I write like I talk", so if you don't understand what you are reading... chances are, if you met me... I wouldn't make much sense to you! Feel free to comment if you care to. Or not. I'm good either way!

Fourth Day - Georgia Mountain Vacay - 9/12

 Saturday - 9/12

These are in the correct order :)

On this day, it was a very rainy day. Our plans were to go to this Winery/Vineyardd is called, "12 Spies". We waited until 2pm because we wanted to hear the live music that was happening at that time.

A man named Tommy Joe Conner was performing. He was going to be singing Southern Rock, which we enjoy!

When we arrived, it was raining, but not real hard.

We entered the tasting room and tasted 5 wines. I chose this one as my favorite! David is not a wine drinker, but did taste them. I couldn't convince him to have a glass, though.

This is how the vineyard got it's name --
The vineyard's name came from the Bible and tells the story of Moses sending 12 spies to investigate the Promised Land. While there, they discovered grapes so large that it took 2 men just to carry one cluster. They brought them back on a staff along with figs and other fruit to show off their bounty.

I wish I could remember to take selfie shots more often when we are traveling!

I took this photo as we were leaving (which was too soon!), but "someone" wasn't happy because he didn't have his beer! :(
This was a glimpse of the covered deck that we were sitting under.
