This photo is of me and my College Sunday School Class that I teach lead. I'm 4th from the right. Ashley is next to me, and Miranda is in the pink dress. The lady standing in front was my "assistant" at the time. She is now teaching leading her own class, just for women.

This photo was taken back in the summer. A couple of these "kids" are now off at school, but I should see them over the holidays. Since then, we have also added several more to our class.

They are a GREAT group!! Of course... two of them are mine! **Smile**

This is also the classroom where I teach preschool during the week! ~ Funny, huh?

A to Z Blog Challenge ~ C

Today's words are (Yes! There are TWO!)
COLLEGE CLASS.
At my church, I lead the College Sunday School Class and I LOVE it!! The kids -- well.... really, they are "young adults", but I can't help but call them "kids"! -- are what make it so much fun!! Of course, having my own two girls in the class, makes it even better!

Since my girls were little, I have always served in one way or another that has something to do with the age that my girls were. I have taught Children's Sunday School. I have taught "Bible Buddies" on Wednesday nights for the kids. I have worked in all areas of Vacation Bible School, including being the director! I have led a Bible Study for Dtr. #1's age. I have helped with the Youth Group in all kinds of ways, and now that both of my girls are in college... I am leading their Sunday School class! You would think that they would be sick of me by now, but I guess they love me! **Smile**

This past Sunday, we had an event at our church called GET IN THE GAME. It involved all of the Sunday School classes and all of the small groups that are in our church. The idea was to get people "Off of the sidelines and into the game"... the "game" being ... more involved in other areas of church besides just worship.

Each Sunday School class or small group had to decorate a "booth" for the event. The "theme" of the event was FOOTBALL! So... my class went ALL OUT!! We got T-shirts made.... Hubby made a goal post for us....  and some of us got into the spirit of "the game" and painted our faces!!

Summer Break Ends and the Craziness Begins!

Sadly, the Summer Break has come to an end for my girls and I.  **Sigh**

That's one of the downfalls of me going back to a "school year" work schedule. As soon as I get used to being at home all day... BAM! It's gone, and I have to get used to working again. Oh well. I guess it's better than having to work a 9-5 job, five days a week (or more!).

I really can't complain. I only work 3 half days a week.    

** Smile **

Dtr. #1 started back to college today. This was her first day at her NEW college. I am anxious to hear how her day went!! This is her 3rd college, by the way. Poor baby started out at a 2 year Junior College, then transferred to a big university college away from home and has now transferred AGAIN to the university that is close to our home. If the first college had been a 4 year college, she would have stayed there in a heart beat! But, reluctantly... she had to move on.

She We all thought that moving away to a big college and living on her own was the right thing for her to do, but after a year of unhappiness... we realized that it wasn't such a smart choice. So... she is back home, and going to school here.

Dtr. #2 starts back to class tomorrow. She is in her 2nd year of college. This is the first time since my girls were in 1st & 5th Grade, that they have both been in the same school!! ~ CRAZY!!

Although... it will still be like they are in different schools, because that are each at different campus locations because of their majors.

One thing that I haven't figured out is how I am going to manage FEEDING everyone!! We are all on different schedules! We are all coming and going with our various jobs, as well as the girls going to their different classes.

If anyone has any suggestions.... throw them my way!! I would appreciate your ideas!

College Pool Party

What a great time we had at the Pool Party! We had 9 students come and all seemed to have a great time! Hubby cooked hamburgers and hot dogs. Everyone brought something to go with that. We had PLENTY of food! (I should've taken a picture of it!) ~ Dtr. #2 came up with the idea to play BASEBALL in the pool! It turned out to be a great idea and everyone had a blast! Here are some pics of the party ~~

Pool Party Preperation

Okay... I am sure that you are probably getting tired of only reading my "Bucket List" entries. So.... even though I'M HAVING FUN writing about them.... I will try to include some "other" entries as well!

Today, I will be preparing for a Pool Party at my house tomorrow. I lead the College & Career Class at my church on Sunday's and I have invited the "young people" -- (Can't really call them "kids" anymore!) -- to my house for a Pool Party and cookout. It should be fun and it should be different than having a bunch of "kids" or "teens" running around the pool, like we've done in the past. These "young people" will be very mature in their fun, I'm sure. ----- Ya, right!! Who am I kidding????? It should be interesting!
